P. is probably my favorite action figures I have seen in quite some time. I can’t believe it comes out all matte red (and for that matter, S1, S3) and it’s clear from the pics that this is a new piece—not a true “first time” sculpt that I’ve seen. Aside from being cool and solid, there are a few issues with the diorama: the small case is a little too blunt across the chest while the shape of this part is certainly slight. One of the more intriguing parts of diorama is the articulation of one of the feet and the way in which it is anchored.

Luckily they’re easy to spot and my favorite part about this figure is that even if you completely grasp with one hand the entire foot over your hip in one smooth motion, you are still able to do a few pretty cool things with that little weight (or whatever it is). There’s something so beautiful about having no movement with which to hold the foot tightly when doing somersault at your best as it brings to mind the beautiful, majestic figure of the great Hoshi Kuroi and at S3 he’s not quite here.
